Covid-19 Policy

The safety of both our clients and staff is extremely important to us. We want to make it as stress free as possible to return to classes and we understand that you maybe a little apprehensive.

So we have put together some useful information that will help us all get back into the swing of things in no time at all.

Please familiarise yourself with this information before attending our classes.

1. Health Forms

We want to make sure that we have your up to date information as we haven’t seen you in a while. Please complete an updated Health Form (this can be downloaded below) so we can make sure nothing has changed since we last saw you. If you think there’s anything important we need to know that might affect you being able to take part in classes, please contact us via email before booking to arrange a call.

Please print and complete this form to bring to your first class. A copy can also be found on your booking confirmation email.

Health Form – June 21

2. Equipment

It is with regret that we are currently unable to provide and equipment for classes, this includes mats and head-blocks. This is due to the cleaning that is required between classes.

Please bring your own mat and something to support your head. We suggest as small hand towel is a good option. We will have a very limited number of single use towels that can be used in some circumstances.

We ask that you clean your mat before and after use and do don’t share any equipment with anyone during the session.

3. Face Coverings

As Health Professionals we are continuing to wear face coverings as pre 19th July 2021. Face coverings must still be worn on entering and leaving the building and when moving around the venue such as using the toilets. Once you are in your mat space these can be removed for exercising.

4. Hand Sanitising and Washing

We will have hand sanitiser at the entrance and exit of the buildings. Please sanitise your hands before entering and leaving the class and after using the toilets.

5. Social Distancing

Maintaining social distance is recommended to reduce the risk of transmission and as such we have put certain procedures in place. Each hall will have spaces marked out with a small cone for individual clients. These are all spaced at least 2m apart. On entering the hall, please choose a spot marked by a cone and lay down you mat. This will then be your designated exercise space. Once here your mask can be removed but if you move around hall you will need to pop your mask back on.

Please continue to keep 2m apart from others on entering and exiting the building.

6. Timing of Classes

To allow for cleaning of touch points and social distancing we have increased the time between classes to 15 minutes. This also allows for the room to be ventilated before the next class arrives.

7. Cleaning Routine

All the halls will be cleaned regularly by the hall owners in line with their own covid policies.  In addition to this we will ensure that all the touch points, including door handles, light switches and sink taps etc are sanitised before the first class, in between every class and after the last class has left.

8. Paying for Classes

We have made the decision that we will no longer accept cash payments. In addition, as we are no longer operating in our own clinic, we are unfortunately unable to accept in-person card payments.

All bookings and payments MUST be made using our online booking system via card. Bacs payments are also no longer accepted.

9. Illness

You maybe aware that the common reported symptoms of Covid- 19 vary. So we ask that if you are feeling unwell in any way at all or are self-isolating, that you do NOT attend your class.

It is essential that to keep everyone safe and to allow the classes to continue that we all follow the up to date advise from the NHS regarding self-isolation and testing. You can find out more here: NHS Coronavirus Information

All our Physio’s are currently undergoing twice weekly lateral flow testing.

10. Entering and Leaving the Venues

We will be operating a one way system in all our venues. We ask that you remain in your car until no sooner than 5 minutes before your class time and allow the previous class to leave the hall first. We understand that you will all naturally want to “catch up” with each other after such a long break, however at present we need to continue with social distancing guidance.

With this in mind please can we ask that you leave the hall as soon as the class has finished and not to congregate in the hall or car parks.

Shirley Institute:

Please enter using the side door from the car park and exit through the main door at the end of the hall. You will then be able to walk back around to the carpark.

Knowle URC:

Please enter the building through the side door between the church and the main hall and exit through the fire escape in the hall and down the ramp. You will then be able to walk around the hall to the carpark.

11. Contact Tracing

You’ll find a NHS QR Code for Test & Trace at the entrance to the hall for both venues to enable you to “check in.”

Whilst we have all your contact details to enable contact tracing should this be necessary, we still encourage you to make use of this, where possible.

Please ensure that we have your up to date contact details and make us aware of any changes to these whilst attending classes. By attending classes you are consenting to us passing on your Name, Email Address and Phone Number to NHS track and trace, should we need to, following a reported case of Covid -19 in a class.

This page will be updated in-light of any new government guidance so check back here regularly for updates.
