Covid-19 Policy

The safety of both our clients and staff is extremely important to us, so we have put together some useful information that will help us all minimise the risk of Covid -19

We ask that you familiarise yourself with this information before attending our classes.

Updated – 23rd May 2022

1. Illness

We ask that if you are feeling unwell in any way at all, that you do NOT attend your class. We also ask that if you have been diagnosed with Covid 19 that you allow the correct amount of time before returning to classes. (See NHS Link below) Whilst there is no longer a legal requirement to isolate, it is essential that to keep everyone safe and to allow the classes to continue that we all follow the up to date advise from the NHS.  You can find their up to date advice and guidance here:  NHS Coronavirus Information

2. Lateral Flow Tests

We are awaiting clarification from our governing body regarding the requirement for our instructors to conduct regular lateral flow tests. Until we have further clarification our instructors will continue to test twice weekly in line with their teaching schedule.

3. Health Forms

We want to make sure that we have your up to date information as we haven’t seen you in a while. Please complete an updated Health Form (this can be downloaded below) so we can make sure nothing has changed since we last saw you. If you think there’s anything important we need to know that might affect you being able to take part in classes, please contact us via email before booking to arrange a call.

Please print and complete this form to bring to your first class. A copy can also be found on your booking confirmation email.

4. Equipment

It is with regret that we are currently unable to provide mats and head-blocks for all clients during the classes. This is due to the cleaning that is required between classes.

Please bring your own mat and something to support your head. We suggest bringing a few small hand towels is a good option. We will have a very limited number of single use towels and head-blocks that can be used in some circumstances.

We ask that you clean your mat before and after use and do don’t share any equipment with anyone during the session.

We have reintroduced the use of some small pieces of equipment, where these can be sanitised in between each class. You are welcome to bring your own equipment if you prefer or do the exercises without.

5. Face Coverings

As Health Professionals we are continuing to wear face coverings whilst we are not exercising. We ask that face coverings are still worn on entering and leaving the building, and when moving around the venue. Once you are in your mat space these can be removed for exercising.

6. Hand Sanitising and Washing

We will have hand sanitiser at the entrance and exit of the buildings. Please sanitise your hands before entering and leaving the class and after using the toilets.

7. Social Distancing

We will continue to have reduced class sizes that are appropriate for the size of each hall. We ask that you spread out in the hall and not place your mat too close to another client. Once in your space, your mask can be removed but if you move around hall you will need to pop your mask back on.

8. Timing of Classes

To allow for cleaning of touch points and ventilation, we will continue to have 15 minutes between classes.

9. Cleaning Routine

All the halls will be cleaned regularly by the hall owners in line with their own policies.  In addition to this we will ensure that all the touch points, including door handles, light switches and sink taps etc are sanitised regularly.

10. Paying for Classes

We have made the decision that we will no longer accept cash payments. In addition, as we are no longer operating in our own clinic, we are unfortunately unable to accept in-person card payments.

All bookings and payments MUST be made using our online booking system via card. Bacs payments may be accepted in exceptional circumstances only. (Please contact us)

11. Entering and Leaving the Venues

We will continue to operate a one way system in all our venues. We ask that you allow the previous class to leave the hall first. With this in mind please can we ask that you leave the hall as soon as the class has finished and not to congregate in the hall.

Shirley Institute:

Please enter using the side door from the car park and exit through the main door at the end of the hall. You will then be able to walk back around to the carpark.

Knowle URC:

Please enter the building through the side door between the church and the main hall and exit through the fire escape in the hall and down the ramp. You will then be able to walk around the hall to the carpark.

12. Contact Tracing

Please ensure that we have your up to date contact details and make us aware of any changes to these whilst attending classes. Although this is not currently required, by attending classes you are consenting to us passing on your Name, Email Address and Phone Number to NHS track and trace, should we be required to do so, following a positive case.

This page will be updated in-light of any new government guidance so check back here regularly for updates.
